Makati City – The fifth and final week of the regular PAFL season started with the Juggernauts and the Cavemen.
The Juggernauts surprised the crowd as they scored their first touchdown of the season. The reception was caught at about 8 yards from the line of scrimmage by Lem Gines who made a 40-yard run to the end zone. However, they were not able to make the conversion. The second half took a toll on the Juggernauts as one of their players got badly injured and needed to be escorted out of the field.
The Cavemen showed dominance all throughout on both offense and defense. The game ended at 46-6 in favor of the Cavemen which gives them a 3-1 standing.
The second game between the Wolves and the Datu started off with the Wolves offense scoring a touchdown and a conversion.
The Datu offense wasn’t able to contain the Wolves defense resulting in their quarterback, Wewe Alvero, being sacked. Wewe got injured during the first half and Ian Lim, one of their wide receivers, stepped up and assumed the quarterback position.
The Datu defense was able to make a comeback during the second half. A forced fumble was made by Bright Samuel and a recovery by Romeo Sabangan which resulted in a touchdown.
The game ended at 55-6 in favor of the Wolves which gives them an undefeated status for the regular season.
